Corning Museum of Glass

On our way to Canada, we stopped by in Corning, NY. My mom has been talking about visiting the Corning Museum of Glass for a couple of years now. We finally got the perfect opportunity to go visit during our road trip up to Canada. Since we weren't there for a long time, we didn't even get a chance to visit the museum itself. However, we did spend a long time in the museum cafe, gift shop, and walking around the outdoor museum activities. We also participated in the glass blowing experience and it was really cool! Here's my review of the museum activities we experienced:

The museum cafe: The food we had was really good! The prices weren't too bad, and the food is made fresh. They make the pasta right in front of you. The mac & cheese was insanely good. Food's prices are good for a museum cafe and the food is pretty good.

GlassMarket: When we were there, there were lots of sales. Almost everything was some % off. There were some awesome products for sale and they were all gorgeous to look at!

Gorgeous glass for sale!

Outdoor activities: With an admission ticket, you get to experience all the cool outdoor activities. One of the experiences include an outdoor glass-blowing show- super cool!

Make Your Own Glass: For an awesome experience (and the reason my mom wanted to go there), try the Make Your Own Glass experience! It's an additional fee, but you get to make your own glass creation and take it home! The flower and ornaments provide the most opportunity and in our opinion, are the best experiences. I made a flower and my brother made an ornament. I got to roll the glass and make the flower's petals. My brother got to blow into the glass! It was really cool; you get to pick the colors of your item and the instructors are very knowledgeable and friendly. It's definitely worth it, if you get a chance to go!

Getting instructions about making my glass flower!

We didn't get a chance to explore the museum itself since we just stopped there for an afternoon. I would definitely be interested in checking out the museum. It's a really cool place, make sure to check it out if you get the chance!
