Sam's Smart Shopping Tips: Getting the Most Bang Out of Your Buck

This post is going to be crazy. And you might want to buy everything afterwards. That's okay. At least you'll be shopping smarter and get the most bang out of your buck.

Let's get started!
Here is the J.Crew sale page, where we will begin navigating.

Before you start shopping: read the details.
Here you can read that the online sale is Extra 40% off, with some at 50% off;
While in stores is Extra 50% 0ff all final sale.
If you live close to a J.Crew, it might be worth checking out their selection before online shopping.
It could save you 10%...

Always check out the shipping fee before starting to shop.
The only thing worse than unreasonable shipping fees
Is feeling forced to pay it since you fell in love with an item online.

Now you can start shopping! Filter out your sizes to prevent the
"I want it but it's not in my size" moments,
and if you care about prices (who doesn't?), sort by price: low to high.
It sucks falling in love with a shirt way out of your price range.

You found an item? Yay!
Next thing is to check out the reviews.
I'm so glad J.Crew made a Reviews section when renovating their website.

I give a 5/5 for providing Overall Ratings! Thanks J.Crew!
Make sure to check out how many people reviewed the item.
The more people, the more reliable the overall rating is.
Check out the overall fit! Make sure to size appropriately.
(I'm a size 2-4 in shorts, but I got a J.Crew dress that I was a 00 in!)

Check out factory stores!
The quality is not as good, but the style is similar and the prices are better.

Check out department store sales too!
Sometimes they're even better than the actual manufacturer.
Narrow the hundreds of results by any category important to you.
I do mine by brand... whoops. I'm a sucker for brand names.

Online flash sale websites are another place to snag great deals.
Become a member of Rue La La here!

Nordstrom Rack is great for Nordstrom style at better prices.
(Though sometimes you might want to double check how good the price is,
Just because it's Rack doesn't always mean it's the best deal!)

Off 5th is great too!
Don't forget to read the small text, like I just did.
"Take Up To..."

Mix splurge and save.
Some of the cutest clothes have been from cheaper stores, like Old Navy.
Mix up your wardrobe for a happier wallet.

Subscribe to your favorite stores for the 411 on sales.

Become a fan.
There are often Facebook exclusives and always deets about upcoming sales, esp. flash sales!
